Online hotel booking platform Booking.com lists 5 million alternative accommodations globally

Booking.comBooking Holdings has publicised its alternative accommodation listing for the first time, making a tight competition with Airbnb.

 

 

The company claims that its online accommodation booking platform, Booking.com, is now the leader of alternative accommodations with more than 5 million listings of homes, apartments, and other unique lodgings.

 

 

While on the contrary, another hotel booking firm, Airbnb also reported that it has 4.85 million listings, up from the previously disclosed 4.5 million at the end of 2017. Now the company expects to top 5 million listings by the end of June.

 

 

Booking.com cited the“5 million reported listings” which are based on the number of units that owners or property managers disclose as being distributed through the online travel agency.

 

 

Booking.com is a known name in global online accommodation booking industry. The company has listed the apartment hotels, vacation rentals, and other nontraditional accommodations globally and has seen its growth over 27 percent year-over-year.
