Assigned by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and to agree with the Sultanate’s celebrations of the 48th Glorious National Day, His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, sponsored last evening the celebrations arranged by the Ministry of Transport and Communications for the formal opening of Muscat International Airport.
Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, stated that Muscat International Airport is one of the most significant achievements experienced by the Sultanate at the time of the blessed Renaissance march under the able leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and represents the Sultanate’s wider opening to the world.
“We praise Allah for the blessing enjoyed by the Sultanate and pray to Allah for sustainability of such blessings. We hope that the Sultanate continues to play its role both at the domestic and foreign levels”, he added in a declaration to reporters after opening Muscat International Airport.
“The opening of Muscat International Airport, as well as other ports and roads improve the infrastructure and help in attracting more investments to the Sultanate. They also contribute to achieving many cultural, social and developmental aims of interest for the Omani citizen.” he further mentioned.
Sayyid Fahd confirmed that the achievements made on the land of Oman aimed mainly the Omani citizen saying ‘We all endeavor to provide the Omani citizen with utmost welfare and happiness in his country.’
