Opening Soon: Nobu in the Garden City, at Four Seasons Hotel Singapore

This May, Four Seasons Hotel Singapore opens the doors to the world of Nobu with the island’s first ever Nobu restaurant, by celebrity chef and restaurateur Nobu Matsuhisa, well known for his creative cuisine of traditional Japanese cooking with Peruvian flavours.

The launch will see the restaurant group’s first foray in the city state, with the menu featuring dishes that will showcase Nobu’s signature style of artfully combining Japanese techniques with South American influences. While his Singapore menu is still being finalised, Nobu’s signature dishes will feature his famed Black Cod Miso, Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño and world class sushi. Additionally, the menu will also offer special dishes inspired by local flavours and ingredients of Singapore.

Born in Saitama, Japan, Nobu spent his formative years studying Japanese cuisine at Matsuei, a respected sushi bar in Tokyo, before traversing across the Pacific Oceans to Lima, Peru to open his very own sushi bar. As a classically trained sushi chef, he was challenged by the new culture and regional ingredients, which kindled his inventive style, known today as the “Nobu Style.”

Being one of my favourite cities with a sophisticated restaurant and bar landscape, I am very much looking forward to bringing Nobu to the gateway to Asia!” comments Nobu.

Currently in the midst of transformation, Nobu Singapore will be housed alongside an open-air Japanese garden and bar. Nobu Singapore will feature its own entrance offering views of a serene sculpted garden against the backdrop of a vibrant city skyline.

Part-owned by Nobu himself, Hollywood superstar Robert De Niro, film producer and entrepreneur Meir Teper and HPL Properties Pte Ltd, Nobu Singapore will offer a fresh lens on destination dining, enlivening and adding to the global reputation of the city state as a celebrated locale of stellar restaurants, bars and spirited local street cuisine too.
