The MICE industry in Santander has positively impacted the economic development as well as the number of overnight stays based in this part of the world.
In fact it was up by almost 28.68% in 2017 as per the City Council.
The regional industry of MICE had generated as many as 151,293 overnight stays at the different hotels of the city that is 33,720 more than in 2016. On the other hand the economic impact has an estimated daily spending of about 241€ per delegate that had totaled about 36.4€ million versus 28.3€ million the year before.
The prospects for continued growth in 2018 appears to be good and it has already been confirmed that as many as 35 congresses are expected to assemble at Santander.
This, of course indicates positive growth curve for the meetings sector this part of the country.
