The Paséa Hotel & Spa, nestled in the vibrant coastal heart of Huntington Beach, proudly announces a $5 million transformation of its culinary services. This revitalization includes the debut of Lōrea—a fresh, California coastal-themed restaurant focusing on a land and sea menu, set to open on May 4, 2024. Additionally, the hotel’s celebrated rooftop lounge has been completely revamped and renamed Treehouse on PCH.

Both venues boast menus curated by Paséa’s newly appointed Chef de Cuisine, Stefan Pierce, whose background includes stints at top Los Angeles eateries like Barton G. The Restaurant in West Hollywood and Steak 48 in Beverly Hills. The team is further strengthened by Executive Chef Scott Rackliff, who brings a wealth of experience from his time as Corporate Chef for celebrity Chef David Burke, and roles at premier resorts including The Equinox Resort and Spa in Vermont and The Newport Harbor Hotel and Marina in Rhode Island.

“Paséa has long established itself as the quintessential Southern California escape – with unmatched ocean views and year-round programming,” says Vincent Savignano, Director of Food & Beverage. “As the newest dining concepts in Huntington Beach, Lōrea and the refreshed Treehouse on PCH elevate the epicurean experience on-property and make Paséa a true culinary destination, while simultaneously raising the bar for the restaurant scene in Orange County. The spaces offer a unique setting and vibe, creating the laidback luxury experience that Paséa is known for.”

Designed by the Orange County-based Hatch Design Group, Lōrea’s aesthetic is inspired by its proximity to the ocean, featuring a bright coastal color scheme and an open-air layout that blends indoor and outdoor dining seamlessly. The design highlights include walnut furniture, a community table painted by local artist Chris Trisnan, and a striking 77-foot stone bar, one of the longest in the region. Enhancements also extend to the hotel’s Ninth Island Pool bar, elevating the poolside experience.

Lōrea’s signature offerings encompass a diverse dinner menu with items like Duck & Goat Charcuterie and Seafood Stew, alongside a dedicated Land & Sea selection allowing for extensive customization. Desserts feature a gigantic Carrot Cake, inspired by Chef Rackliff’s family recipe, and a unique Burnt Cheesecake. For an engaging dining experience, the restaurant offers tableside services including a dramatic Pavlova presentation and warm Parker House Rolls with Turkish chili-lime butter.

The breakfast menu includes items such as Labneh with Roasted Fruits and a unique CB+J French Toast, while lunch features dishes like Mushroom Campanelle pasta and Grilled Market Fish Tacos. Weekend brunches are also a highlight, taking place on the spacious patio.

“Lōrea guests will revel in a chef-driven menu inspired by land and sea, abundant with seafood, premier beef cuts, hand-crafted libations, and immersive dining experiences that set the stage for memorable meals,” says Executive Chef Scott Rackliff. “Our menu is approachable and meant to be interactive and shareable. We largely focus on locally sourced, sustainable ingredients while remaining sensitive and relevant to the seasons.”

The beverage program, crafted by award-winning Resort Mixologist Miguel Sandoval, includes an inventive cocktail menu with a variety of categories like Martini and Boozy, along with homemade infusions. Highlights include the ‘Dutch Dancer’ and ‘Boozy Affogato’, along with a creative take on the classic Penicillin called ‘Peninsula’.

The renovated Treehouse on PCH retains its signature life-size tree sculpture and adds luxurious seating and firepits, creating an ideal setting for enjoying the Pacific views. The lounge offers a mix of craft cocktails, beer, wine, and inventive non-alcoholic options, accompanied by snacks like Eggplant Tacos and Peruvian Ceviche.

Paséa Hotel & Spa continues to offer a full suite of amenities, including the iconic Ninth Island Pool, a Balinese-Inspired Aarna Spa, fitness classes in collaboration with ALO Moves, pet-friendly features, and proximity to shopping at Pacific City.

Starting from May 4, Lōrea will welcome guests daily from 8AM to 10PM, while Treehouse on PCH will have varying daily hours. Reservations can be made through the Paséa Hotel & Spa’s website.
