PATA Annual Summit 2020 to be held in Ras Al Khaimah

The Pacific Asia Travel Association CEO Dr. Mario Hardy  announced that Ras Al Khaimah will host the PATA Annual Summit 2020.

The four day event hosted by the Ras Al Khiamah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) will see international thought leaders, industry shapers and decision makers majorly contributing in the Asia Pacific region.

Hardy stated that across emirate Ras Al Khaimah has committed to support cultural, natural and heritage environment preservation along with activities in sync with PATA’s mission. It will help in facilitating the responsible development of travel and tourism to, from and within the Asia Pacific region.

He felt honored to be associated with RAKTDA in closely collaborating with their public and private sector members and partners to discuss current issues and challenges in the industry.

The global forum will have discussions on sustainable growths, value and quality tourism. There will be a one-day conference , the PATA Annual General Meeting and the PATA Youth Symposium bringing students and young tourism professionals together to engage with senior industry leaders.

In partnership with the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), PATA will organsie the UNWTO/PATA Leaders Debate which will have senior executives from both public and private sector to discuss on issues concerning the industry.

Haitham Mattar, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority who is looking  forward to hosting the PATA Annual Summit 2020 in Ras Al Khaimah said that strengthening the Emirate’s MICE offer by showcasing their  world class resorts, beautiful coastline and abundance of cultural and outdoor adventure experiences, will form an integral part of our Destination strategy as they aim to attract three million visitors by 2025.

Ras Al Khiamah is the perfect getaway, it offers magnificent landscapes, breath-taking coastlines and rich, terracotta desert planes making it an ideal place for both leisure and adventure travel and also catering to the business  travellers.
