Patnitop Development Authority is in the limelight

At present, Patnitop Developnent Authority, is in the limelight as the Govt is  talking about the development of its hotspots however, disgracefully amended master plan of the  Patnitop Development Authority being one of the best spots in Jammu not being cleared in spite of Lt Governor being
Chairman of  the Authority.

In PDA, the recent developments has been closed  as Bye Laws of Master Plan of 2000 being adhered in infringement of the 1970 Development Act, however Dr. Syed Abid Rashid, new Secretary, is  showing inclination in sorting out this problem and put it into practice, which the predecessors had put towards the back end.

For a long time, no BOCA Meeting has been carried on by BOCA Chairman causing no agreement of building permissions after holding back previous permissions, discontinuing the development by way of constructions in PDA.

People now are hoping for a clearance of their building permissions that’s long pending by the new Deputy Commissioner of Udhampur. This will cause to new constructions & attract financial support for PDA as well by introducing building permission fee etc.

Nevertheless, Advocate, Sumit Nayyar, had filed a Public Interest Litigation by looking for growth and expansion of infrastructural facilities for the Patnitop-Mantalai-Sudh Mahadev tourism circuit.

It’s a Division Bench of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court where N Kotishwar Singh, Chief Justice and Moksha Khajuria Kazmi, Justice, has issued instructions for filing a complete status report previous to the forthcoming date of hearing.
