It is not an unknown fact that the peak tourist season is a hard time to find somewhere to live in Ladakh. There is constantly an intense rush in the Ladakh region, with tourists dropping in from all parts of the country to get respite from the heat.

After getting to locations like the extremely popular Pangong Lake, tourists find it problematic to find a lodging which creates a lot of perplexity, disorder and congestion.

Knowing this problem, the Ladakh tourism authorities have urged all travelers to visit Ladakh with a proper accommodations booking, mainly while visiting the area of the Pangong Lake.

The reason for this is, Pangong Lake is a wildlife sanctuary, and hence, impromptu tourist activities and congestion can harm the wildlife in that area. There is also an inadequate number of lodging in the lake area since it is a wildlife area.

Among the ladakh travel advisories are urging travelers to limit their travel to higher elevations like Khardung La, Pangong Lake, Chang La, Pensi La and Tso Moriri before finishing 48 hours of getting used to the climate.

The tourism section of Ladakh has advised all visitors to make every single arrangement before visiting Ladakh. This will help in avoiding last minute hurry and troubles surfacing due to the unavailability of lodging after reaching the place.

The best method to go around in Ladakh is by getting a local taxi. This saves a lot of harassment concerning local rules and system, and intricacy in driving in new and unknown places.
