PM Vietnam urges for extension in Visa Waiver

Pham Minh Chinh, the Vietnamese Prime Minister, has urged the growth and development of the visa waiver scheme of Vietnam to perk up tourism arrivals in an impending national conference.


Also, the Prime Minister requested for making improved conditions at domestic and international level to introduce routes to Vietnam and allow tourists to visit the countries in Southeast Asia, VisaGuide.World reports the same.


The present day policy helps citizens of South Korea, Russia, Denmark, Japan, Norway, Sweden, France, Belarus, Finland, Germany, and other few countries to visit Vietnam excused from the requirements of visa for a stay of 15 days. This new rule will remain useful till March 14th, 2025, and it can be extended even further.


In addition, the government has reached contracts to let off from visa requirements passport holders of countries like Cambodia, Chile, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Panama, Myanmar and few more.


The passport of Vietnam on the other hand has a score of 21.16. It helped in ranking it 143rd at the international level. The Vietnamese passport, as per VisaGuide.World Passport Index, helps the holders to visit 22 countries with no visa, with only an Electronic Travel Authorisation in two and another 30 with a visa-on-arrival. Vietnamese citizens in other 23 countries can enter through an e-visa as they have to get a visa to visit 149 countries in the world.
