P&O is all geared up to exploit Dubai’s tourism potential to the T

P&O cruiseFrom 2019, P&O Cruises will have their home port status built in Dubai. Oceana cruise liner has 10 passenger decks, 950 cabins and 850 crew and passenger capacity of 1,950. It would be based in Port Rashid providing five Arabian Gulf cruises with 10 night itineraries. They also provide overnight stays in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The tweet of P & O cruises say ‘’ Follow the sunshine to our brand new destination, the Arabian Gulf, aboard Oceana.’’ It also had a video that featured the main attractions of Dubai. To quote Paul Ludlow, the senior vice president of P&O Cruises told TTG, ‘’ You look at the number of British guests going to Dubai. Over a million a year – and you think about the incredible potential for cruise. It’s a really dynamic and aspirational part of the world to want to go to and therefore I think there will be a lot of people who will want to do it on a cruise that haven’t considered a cruise before.’’

The P&O initiation takes place just after the latest investment of emirates into maritime tourism. Dubai harbor is all set to utilize the four biggest cruise operators and making them exploit its best facilities in the coming days.
