Natasha Richards, the Head of Advocacy & Industry Relations at the IMEX Group, said that to make sure the future success for their sector, they need to design a strategy where they can live as well as flourish. To do this, they need to start having painful talks, not only with the usual suspects, their clients and industry colleagues, but also with cynical rule makers and experts who will confront their supposition and broaden them to find unanticipated solutions!

Natasha says how vital, frequently demanding – dialogue between the industry and policy creators is the main driver at the back, maintaining the relevancy and achievement of the sector. It’s these important conversations that lie at the center of the IMEX Policy Forum.

The first day of IMEX Frankfurt, taking place on Tuesday May 23rd, the Policy Forum brings destination representatives, policy makers, business events association executives and other thought-leaders together for a half-day of rigorous, perspective-challenging conversation.

By now, more than 30 destinations of the world have confirmed their interest in taking part in 2023’s Forum together with major interest from policy makers. These comprise representatives at regional, national and city level from Latin America, Europe, Asia Pacific and Africa.

The Forum aspires to make a roadmap that profits and unites policy makers as well as industry leaders; to assist them in setting their agenda for the prospective high-level conversations and in-depth study.
