Zurab Pololikashvili, the secretary general of World Tourism Organisation paid an official visit to Kazakhasthan and discussed with national authorities the Kazakh Toursim Strategy 2030.
He met here the Bakytzhan Saginatayev to discuss developments about the tourism sector of the country and how to further strengthen the existing cooperation between Kazakhstan and UNWTO.
Within the UNWTO Silk Road Programme and UNWTO assistance to Kazakhasthan in marketing and communication issues related to support in the implementation of investment projects, training of tour guides, reinforcement of cooperation were addressed during the meeting.
The secretary general met Muhamediuly Arystanbek, minister of culture and sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan to discuss the Tourism strategy for 2030. The Museum of Future Energy was also visited by Pololikashvili after the Kazakhstan’s hosting of Expo 2017 in Atlanta.
