For poker lover Ian Williams from Bristol, England, the rewardslook promising.

“For me, it’s the trip of a lifetime,” Williams said. “I’ve never been to Vegas, so really excited about the possibility of coming.”

But due to a pandemic travel ban to the U.S. it wasn’t possible for him well over a year.

However, the White House has announced that fully vaccinated international travelers would be allowed in early November.

It’s a move that’s applauded from everyone associated with the tourism industry.

“This is a really big deal,” said Willis Orlando, a flight expert for Scott’s Cheap Flights.

Orlando said that the travel ban, which was in effect since March 2020, attractedsevere criticism.

“The EU is open to Americans, the U.S. was not reciprocating. A lot of countries were kind of irked by this,” he said.
Orlando said that many international travelers, mainly from Europe and the U.K., are wishing to visit.

“Europeans have a lot of disposable income, they have a lot of vacation time,” Orlando said. “They want to come they want to enjoy Las Vegas.”

The LVCVA said that international travelers comprise 15 percent of visitors any year who spend about 50 to 60 percent more than domestic travelers.

Besides being fully vaccinated, travelers need to have a negative COVID test within 3 days of boarding. Other factors, like procedures for children barredfrom vaccination or the exact date this will be enforced, remains unknown.
