Prime Minister Narendra Modi Speaks About the Future of India’s Tourism in Goa

Prime Minister NarendraModi spoke about the future of India’s tourism in Goa. He said that improving tourism infrastructure in Goa would open opportunities for employment and investment in other businesses.


Establishing BJP’s vision for the state, Modisaid, “Several governments ruled at the Centre, but did any realize how important and useful the small state of Goa could be?”


Criticizing Congress for not exploring Goa’s tourism potential, Modi said, “They were in office for five decades. Those who were ruling in Delhi would remember Goa only when they wanted to travel for an excursion.”


Regarding BJP’s infrastructure development, he said, “Mopa airport is being developed at the cost of Rs 3,000 crore which will make it convenient for domestic as well as international tourists to come to Goa. Work on a multi-modal logistics park is also going on at a fast pace. The works which BJP is doing now, Goa needed them decades ago.”
The PM mentioned the efforts made by the Center, like introducing the visa on arrival facility and sanctioning more than 100 inter-city electric buses to boost tourism.


Modipraised the efforts of CM PramodSawantin achieving 100% vaccination status in Goa. “Sawant thought that if tourism has to be encouraged, if confidence has to be instilled in tourists that Goa is safe, there is a need to give a message that Goa is 100% vaccinated. He did it. Because of this, tourists from all over the world feel like coming to Goa,” said Modi.
