Princess Cruise was accused of negligence and carelessness about virus infection spread. A passenger accused the Cruise as callous and negligence towards passenger safety and has filed a case against the cruise line after she reported COVID-19 positive following a trip to Coral Princess in March 2020.
In a prolonged complaint the passenger mentioned that the Cruise was callous and neglected passenger safety. It is due to their negligence that they were infected which caused emotional distress. When the virus infection had already spread they has put stress on passengers by sailing on march 5th, which should have been cancelled otherwise or adequate measures should have been taken to reduce infection spread on the vessel.
Over 700 passengers got infected owing to the sheer negligence of the cruise while they were onboard. According to O’Neil, she went to the doctor on March 26 as she was suffering from shoulder pain. Unfortunately she was not informed that several other passengers were infected, and she complained that travellers were not informed about the covid condition by the captain or his crew. Besides this, the passengers were not told about any precautionary measures, and hence were susceptible to infection.
