The chief executive of a foremost Welsh tourist attraction has demanded that the planned tourism levy carries the prospect to damage holiday industries.

William McNamara of Bluestone National Park Resort said this after the declaration of a £30m set of funding for the Pembrokeshire place.

McNamara said that he does not want to see visitors being deterred from visiting Wales.

The Welsh government said that it could produce new revenue for improving local facilities and groundwork.

Bluestone is setting up 80 new platinum lodges, a traditional restaurant along with an 11 hectare solar
farm.

It provides employment for 800 people and spends £7m annually for a variety of providers across Wales.
