Puducherry: “The French Riviera of the East” turns into a global MICE destination of South India

The streets of the French Quarter are dotted with charming mustard-yellow colonial structures and crumbling cathedrals on leafy boulevards with bougainvillea laden walls. Now, the government and tourism bodies are working to promote this weekend destination as a global MICE destination with French cosy cafes and chic boutiques that offer delectable French cuisine and beverages.


In an exclusive interview at World Travel Market 2019 with Travel And Tour World, Shri L. Mohamed Mansoor, Director of Tourism, Additional Secretary to Government (Tourism), Puducherry shares how this smallest Union Territory of India is attracting leisure tourists and millennials worldwide with experiential travel experiences. He also highlights how Puducherry is developing its MICE segment with world-class facilities.
