Qatar Airways has launched a new exclusive program for students worldwide: Based on the airline’s existing loyalty program, the Qatar Airways Privilege Club, the Student Club offers a number of benefits that have been developed for students to use during their study trips support.

Members of the Student Club enjoy spectacular price advantages and tailored privileges – for example special tariffs for flights, additional baggage allowance, the option to flexibly adjust their flight date, free Super Wi-Fi on board and much more. In addition, they are automatically admitted to the Qatar Airways Privilege Club – where they can expect even better rewards – and receive a status upgrade as a graduation gift and the opportunity to collect 5,000 Qmiles by recommending the Student Club to a friend.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker said, “The brand new Student Club is specially designed to meet the needs of students. For a very large number of students, the opportunity to travel is an important aspect of their life and many choose to study abroad for a semester or for the duration of their university career. We also know that the long semester break is a wonderful opportunity for students to visit family or friends, or simply to explore the world. Now students can take to the skies with our Student Club. “

The new program is part of a broader restructuring of the Qatar Airways Privilege Club, which is being redesigned to ensure that passengers are rewarded for their continued loyalty and receive the best possible deals and benefits.

As members of the Privilege Club, students earn Qmiles when they travel with Qatar Airways, oneworld® airlines or one of the airline’s partners. Students can also earn Qmiles with credit cards from Qatar Airways and from retail and lifestyle partners of the Privilege Club. Qmiles can be redeemed for a range of exciting benefits, including award flights, upgrades or extra baggage on Qatar Airways, purchases in the Qatar Duty Free shop, and flights and hotel stays with partners.

Student club members receive a digital card for their mobile wallet or the Qatar Airways app that shows their membership level. All full- and part-time students between the ages of 18 and 30 are eligible to join the program at qatarairways.com/StudentClub.

The multi-award-winning airline Qatar Airways was named “World’s Best Airline” at the Skytrax-sponsored World Airline Awards 2019. In recognition of its groundbreaking business class experience, Qsuite was named “Best Airline in the Middle East”, “World’s Best Business Class “and” Best Business Class Seat “honored. Qatar Airways is the only airline to have been recognized five times with the coveted title of” Skytrax Airline of the Year “, which is considered the pinnacle of excellence in the aviation industry.

Qatar Airways not only offers excellent service for passengers, but also attaches great importance to sustainable flight operations. The airline’s variety of modern, fuel-efficient aircraft – in particular its 52 Airbus A350s and 30 Boeing 787s – makes a significant contribution to reducing CO2 emissions. The airline is keeping its Airbus A380 fleet on the ground due to the impact of COVID-19 on travel demand as it does not consider it environmentally acceptable to operate such a large aircraft in the current market. Qatar Airways also recently launched a new program that enables passengers to voluntarily offset the CO2 emissions associated with their trip when booking.
