Qatar Airways has taken up the traditional pre-match team discussion to create a humorous security video: The film features football legends of yesteryear and today and provides important security information through personalities from Qatar Airways’ ongoing partnerships with FC Bayern Munich, AS Roma and the FIFA.
In addition to FC Bayern star Robert Lewandowski, the Brazilian Neymar Jr. and AS-Roma legend Cafu will also be guided through the safety routine: a comedy duo consisting of the British television actor Jason Thorpe and the comedy actor Ross Hatt will give the coach and the presenter.
It’s a changing room like never before, with Lewandowski demonstrating the use of a life jacket, while Cafu helps a younger version of himself with the oxygen mask and Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar Jr. leads Qsuite passengers in a special show.
Directed by Peter Lydons, who co-wrote the script with award-winning creative agency “180 Kingsday,” a six-minute film was produced for the international audience of Qatar Airways. It reflects the latest campaigns of the airline and gives this important aspect of the travel experience a playful twist.
Qatar Airways Senior Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications Salam Al Shawa commented that at Qatar Airways, safety is our top priority, and we want to ensure that everyone, including our frequent flyers, pay attention to safety instructions. The wonderfully creative concept of 180 Kingsday attracts the attention of our passengers with a fun, carefree video that also sets the conversation on board in motion. The level of quality and attention to detail in this video is crucial, and I’m sure the content is informative and fun for passengers from around the world and across the ages.
Qatar Airways has an extensive global sports portfolio and, in addition to top sporting events, also sponsors some of the largest football clubs in the world, including FC Bayern München, AS Roma and Boca Juniors. As official FIFA partner, the airline also supports the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019 and the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 . In this way, she uses the power of sport to bring people together and puts them in the spotlight with her brand message “Going Places Together”.
