The airline received two product awards: a Gold Award for the First and Business Class bedding set, and the TravelPlus Readers Award for the Limited First and Business Class Pink Kit designed to raise travellers ‘awareness of the International Breast Cancer Month.
The TravelPlus Airline Amenity Awards Ceremony is an independent industry event that honors the design of the best amenity kits. These include first and business class kits, bedding kits, children’s goody bags, bedding and pajamas.

The Qatar Airways First and Business Class sleep collection consists of a quilted mattress, a soft quilt, a comfortable but strong head and a saying cushion created by the production development and design team.
The limited breast cancer edition of the First and Business Class Amenity Kits was developed by the Italian luxury luggage brand BRIC’S and made exclusively for Qatar Airways. The kit has the carefully selected shade “Rose Pompadour” and includes a range of skincare products from Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio, an eco-friendly olive oil company from Italy. It is intended to demonstrate the airline’s continued commitment to the international breast cancer month.
The Business Class Care range includes lip balm, a moisturizing face spray and an anti-aging moisturizer. The First Class Set also contains a night-time recovery cream. Socks, sleep mask and earplugs complete the range with BRIC’S signature luggage tag for First Class.
Premium-class middle-distance passengers can look forward to bespoke Amenity Kits, developed by craft art brand Nappa Dori. They enjoy worldwide recognition for their luxurious handcrafted travel and fashion accessories. The kits show selected images of destinations around the world from the Qatar Airways route network. The miniature versions of the Bellagio and Sintesis cases by BRIC’S have a hard shell with Tuscan leather trim.
Qatar Airways experienced a record-breaking year in 2017 with more than 50 individual awards in various categories. This shows that the company continues to exceed the expectations of passengers – on the one hand with its innovative approaches to product development and on the other with its commitment to the customer experience.
