This summer, the hotels, restaurants, museums and other retail outlets of Qatar has thrilling offers and packages to give a chance to the residents to discover the country but have also reinvigorated its tourism sector.
The country’s tourism sector is expected to recover a momentum in the forthcoming days while kick-starting the fourth phase of easing restrictions. The first phase the fourth phase of easing of COVID-19 restrictions is all prepared to start from Tuesday.
With additional lifting of constraints, the tourism sector of Qatar will be busy offering loads of activities, as greater number of people will be allowed to visit tourist places and outdoor excursions.
The museums of Qatar will be allowed to operate with full capacity from September 1st; the souqs will be allowed to function with 75 percent capacity and local exhibitions will be allowed to be held with a capacity of 30 percent. Doha Metro and buses will be operating with 30 percent capacity side by side, which would assist people to reach their destinations hassle-free.
‘We have seen a significant increase in the enquiries about our staycation offers this month. The number of citizens and expatriates availing our staycation offers has increased and we expect further increase in guest arrivals in coming days, a senior official of a hotel told The Peninsula.’
The lucrative deals provided by the hotels have made the summer of 2020 pretty memorable for citizens and residents. Hotels are providing a wide range of staycation packages along with additional hospitality deals comprising discounts of up to 50 percent on room bookings, hotel packages with an additional free night stay, beach and pool packages, as well as special food and beverage (F & B) promotions.
