Qatar World Cup provides tourism opportunity in Southern Iran

In Bushehr province, there are more special conditions than in other provinces as it’s situated quite close to Qatar, with Dayyer port in Bushehr being 160 kilometers away from the Al Ruwais port of Qatar, the governor of province has said.
Because of the nearness of the two ports and countries, Qatar during the World Cup and after it, can offer part of its needs through Dayyer port, on Sunday, Mehr quoted Ahmad Mohammadizadeh as saying the same.

Also, during the World Cup, fans and travelers can travel by sea as well and through Bushehr to Qatar, the official added.

Bushehr for long time has had business relation with Persian Gulf countries. At present, these relations should be recharged once again and expanded even further, he noted.

In Bushehr, many plans and steps and policies have been adopted to take advantage of the World Cup in Qatar, comprising fortifying the infrastructure of the port, he mentioned.

The Iranian Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Minister Ezzatollah Zarghami, in May and the Minister of Culture and Sports of Qatar, Abdulrahman bin Hamad bin Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani met in Tehran, and talked on the way to make tourism easy during the World Cup.

The two countries talked about the ways to deepen tourism even more, along with the handicraft bonding by making the most of the World Cup opportunity in Qatar.
