America’s Radisson Hotel Group is trying to bring the ‘roaring twenties’ back according to the group’s interim CEO Tom Buoy. Their launch of Country Inn & Suites will reach new markets. They continue offering the same hospitality that their company is known for.

The new brand, Radisson Inn & Suites, will occupy the upper-midscale, limited-service space. This will contrast the Country Inn & Suites brand that is designed for the suburban markets. Radisson Inn & Suites is slated for airport locations, metropolitan areas and mixed-development communities.

Tom Buoy says that the new brand honors Radisson’s past, celebrates its future and refocuses the company on innovation. The modern looks of the hotel will start from the exterior. In the interior of the hotel groups properties will have a café-inspired lobby that serves as a hub for guests to gather, similar to an urban coffee shop. The space will have natural light and other biophilic aspects, like wood grains, plants and natural materials to bring the outside in and foster a connection to nature.

Buoy says that the public spaces will take on the personality of the individuals. Their desire is to create a lobby that functions as a coffee shop in the morning, progresses throughout the day.

It transforms to vibrant hub at night that is full of life and, the people engaging and making beautiful memories. These public spaces will also include a grab-and-go-market, a walk-around island counter station, a breakfast counter, lounge seating and a fitness center.

The interiors are inspired by the blue-green of evergreens and morning mist, according to the company, with the brand marketing, signage and way finding displaying the deep purples and oranges of a setting sun.

Phil Hugh, the chief development officer said there are no specific portfolio numbers the brand is working to achieve, but he noted that growth is expected to happen quickly. Development will be focused on Canada, the United States, the Caribbean and Latin America.
