The Rajasthan government is working for improving weekend escapes and spiritual tourism in a substantial manner.

Some of Rajasthan’s well-known tourist attractions are not far off from Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. These are seeing a large entry of travelers from these states during weekends and
prolonged holiday periods, even during summer.

A Rajasthan tourism division representative said that considering this, the state tourism division has decided to recognize 10-20 places like these and advertise and uphold them on all media platforms.

In keeping with the plan, the tourism representative said that an infrastructure gap revision would be done for such places. Special work would be done for improving roads and providing last-mile connectivity.

Another area that the Rajasthan government is considering is spiritual tourism. The state government
is thinking to spend approximately Rs. 100 crore this fiscal year for improving religious places.

Rajasthan is popular for religious sites like Nathdwara, the Dargah of Khwaja Moin-ud-din Chishti, Khatu
Shyam Ji and Lord Brahma temple, as well as Salasar Balaji Temple.
