As we all come to closing months of 2022, the revival of world travel industry is no longer in doubt; however, some areas are well ahead of others in terms of repossessing their tourist numbers at the levels existed at pre-pandemic times.

One of the regions continuing to bounce back in the fastest way is the Caribbean, as per the report of ForwardKeys, a travel intelligence company. Its latest travel information shows the way the ample air connectivity of the Caribbean and signature hospitality are playing an instrumental role in drawing more international travelers than anywhere else in the world right at this moment.

Even at the time of the worst period during pandemic, all through the years 2020 and 2021, the data from ForwardKeys highlighted the resilience of Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic in regard to tourism revival success stories, however, in 2022, the arrival numbers across the entire Caribbean has dropped radically.

Olivier Ponti, VP of Insights at ForwardKeys, said that the instance of Caribbean is not just about pinpointing a great example of the revival story of a region but instead about a region that is rising – in spite of all the macroeconomic factors taking place at this moment, like the hold up of the economy of the world, petrol price rise and the effects of the war in Ukraine.

In the fourth quarter of this year, overseas tourist arrivals are continuing to increase across many countries in Caribbean.
