As per London and Partners, the official promotion agency of the Mayor of London, an overwhelming 5.5 million international tourists made trips to the city between April and June 2017 marking a 10% rise increase on the previous year. The number of North Americans visiting had increased quite sharply with an additional 30% heading to London.

Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London said that they have been welcoming an increased number of North American tourists to their city than ever before with an aim to check out a diversity of neighbourhoods, attractions, culture and shopping areas.

London and Partners id also quite eager to point towards the ‘world-class events’ comprising World Cup of Gymnastics at the O2 and the Joshua v Klitschko boxing fight at Wembley Stadium as probable reasons for the rising number of travellers to the capital during this point of time.
