The finishing point of the Red Sea Project will allow Saudi Arabia to vie in the world tourism showground and emphasize the powerful affiliation between the public and private sectors of the Kingdom, as per the Minister of Tourism.

While delivering a speech at a meeting with business owners and investors in the Chamber of Commerce in Makkah, Minister Ahmed Al-Khatib stated that Saudi Arabia in Makkah and Madinah, provides services to 1.8 million Muslims.

However, Saudi Arabia will contend with 100 tourist destinations in abroad, once its Red Sea Project – the luxury and sustainable hospitality destination gets functional, he said, mentioning that things are developing, credit goes to the government associated with the private sector collaboration.

This comes as the Kingdom recognized many projects to offer services, improve tourism infrastructure, and private sector craft regulations since the introduction of its tourism strategy in 2019.

The Red Sea Project is the giga-project of the Kingdom as per Vision 2030’s official website. It is the most ambitious and exciting tourism and hospitality project in the world. It’s a luxury destination shaped around one of the last hidden natural treasures of the world.

Al-Khatib mentioned that the ministry has put into practice the Air Connectivity Program, on which it spent more than SR30 million in 2022 to make transport easy in the Kingdom.
