Hundreds of thousands of customers whose trips have been cancelled are facing difficulties as Britain’s bigggest travel firms appear to have made the process of obtaining refund more difficult.
But like almost all holiday firms, it is unable to meet the 14-day deadline so customers have expressed anger on social media about the delays.
A spokesperson for Tui mentioned that very customer who has requested a cash refund will receive them shortly.
They apologise for the delay but they are getting through them.
However, the company has decided to make the procedure for obtaining a refund more complex now.
All holidays before 15 May 2020 has been cancelled and the disappointed travellers were told that if their holiday can no longer go ahead as planned, they will receive a refund credit for the full value of your holiday.
Holidaymakers are still able ask for a refund – but only once they have been given a refund credit note, which
They can only get this until four weeks after their departure date.
A spokesperson went on saying that they have to wait for a refund credit to be issued to make sure that is removed from their booking, before they offer a cash refund to make sure they don’t receive both.
They will work for weeks on best solution for their customers and will work through bookings as quickly as we can.
