Rough Creek Lodge Nears Completion of Seventh Phase of Luxury Residences

The Residences at Rough Creek Lodge, a community of luxurious vacation homes nestled within the picturesque lakes and rolling foothills of the Texas Hill Country at Rough Creek Lodge & Resort, is nearing the completion of its seventh phase of distinctive ranch retreats.

Spanning 9,000 acres southwest of Glen Rose, The Residences at Rough Creek Lodge offers a diverse range of vacation property options, from cozy homes to expansive ranches. Homeowners enjoy exclusive benefits and access to VIP world-class resort amenities.

Owners enjoy access to Rough Creek Lodge facilities and an array of exclusive amenities, including private shooting ranges, hunting and fishing privileges, and food and beverage catering from the resort’s onsite restaurant. Additional resort amenities include hiking, swimming, horseback riding, spa services, and world-class dining, among others.

Owners of “The Residences” properties — a community of zero-lot-line, two- to three-bedroom homes within walking distance of the Resort — are eligible for Rough Creek’s full-service rental program.

In Phase Seven, buyers can choose between lakefront and interior properties with several floor plan options. These homes are either fully or partially furnished, with some featuring designer upgrades. A few offer limited-time perks such as membership in the resort’s “Rod and Gun Club” or a UTV.

Alternatively, buyers may purchase a larger lot and build their own home. They can collaborate with Rough Creek’s preferred architect, Jeff Garnett, or select an architect and builder of their choice.

Rough Creek is planning another 30 lots in a new community to be announced soon. Residences in this next phase will be available starting in 2025, with prices set to increase.

These homes feature open-concept layouts that blend natural materials with bold architectural elements. Contemporary and sophisticated finishes reimagine Rough Creek Lodge’s rustic charm, creating welcoming retreats that are distinctive and livable. Perks include easy maintenance, zero lot lines, and views of Mallard Lake. Owners also have access to amenities exclusive to the Residences Community and can place their residence in Rough Creek’s full-service rental program. The community consists of 37 single-family homes, with over 75 percent already completed. Pricing starts at $1.3 million.
  2. The Ranchettes: Eight lots ranging from 10 to 25 acres, accommodating custom homes up to 5,000 square feet. Spec home plans are available. Homeowners enjoy full access to the resort and its amenities. Lot prices range from $500,000 to $900,000.
  3. The Ranch Estates: For owners who desire the benefits of ranch living without the maintenance. The Ranch Estates are maintained by resort staff and vetted vendors. Owners have a social membership with access to over 50 amenities and facilities at Rough Creek Lodge. There are 15 lots ranging from 22 to 72 acres, with custom homes up to 9,300 square feet available for agricultural exemptions. Pricing starts at $2 million.
