To enhance the experience of the passengers, Royal Caribbean has introduced Starlink internet for passenger connectivity while they are on the water. The cruise line has implemented new rules for passenger safety.

The satellite internet will be implemented on lines from SpaceX on all Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Silversea Cruises vessels as well as the brand’s new ships.

The company had previously been evaluating the technology on board and conducted a trial on Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas. Jason Liberty, who is the president and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group said that its purpose as a company is to deliver the best services to the customers. The Starlink internet is the biggest network that connects with passengers. This commitment of the company can be seen in this gesture.

The technology is likely to be game-changing in terms of connectivity on board ships and enhance the cruise experience for the guest and the crew.

Liberty stated that Starlink will facilitate and improve “more high-bandwidth activities” that will make services like video calls and live streaming even easier to access. The service will also make it easier for the passengers to stay connected with their loved ones.

SpaceX Vice President has stated that since Royal Caribbean selected Starlink the passengers are going to experience an extreme luxury. SpaceX previously secured deals with Hawaiian Airlines and regional-jet carrier in April. The connectivity ensures that services are updated and a new generation for the cruise experience begins.
