Sabre Corporation new distribution agreement with Emirates

Sabre Corporation recently signed a new multi-year, worldwide distribution agreement with Emirates. The new agreement is set to provide Sabre-connected travel buyers and agencies access to Emirates’ content, through Sabre’s global distribution system, with immediate effect. 

Following the action, Emirates will create and distribute NDC offers through the Sabre GDS. The brand new contract will connect Emirates to a global network of travellers, while supporting its global vision to provide travel buyers with personalised offers.

Besides the new agreement, Sabre will continue to partner with Emirates on advanced retailing, data and analytics capabilities through a number of its industry-leading solutions in areas such as network planning, revenue optimization and market intelligence.

Roshan Mendis, Chief Commercial Officer, Sabre Travel Solutions said in a statement that the company is delighted to re-establish its long-standing partnership with Emirates. He mentioned that the agreement demonstrates its commitment to creating a sustainable distribution model that will benefits all constituents across the travel value chain. 

Adnan Kazim, Chief Commercial Officer, Emirates said in a statement that resulting from thoughtful discussions between both parties, the new agreement will provide both Emirates and travel buyers with immense value, removing complexity in the buying process, which is crucial to the recovery of the industry. He said that the carrier is pleased to have reached the distribution agreement with Sabre.

He mentioned that the new contract will support the airline to meet the needs of agency partners and provide agencies with flexibility, choice and efficiency while helping them to thrive in the current climate. He concluded that it will also help drive revenue and growth.
