Salamander Hotels partners with Half Moon, Jamaica

Salamander Hotels & Resorts has been selected by the board of directors of Half Moon, one of the Caribbean’s most iconic resort destinations in Montego Bay, Jamaica to manage the award-winning 400-acre property.



Salamander owns and manages the Forbes Five-Star Salamander Resort & Spa in Middleburg, Virginia; and Innisbrook Resort in Tampa, Florida and is specialised in independent luxury.



Guy Steuart, chairman of Half Moon commented that Salamander is their chosen hospitality partner for Half Moon as it is successfully known to operate luxury, golf and beach properties.



The team members at Half Moon since inception have injected their hearts and souls in making it a globally reciognised brand. Half Moon is a symbol for gracious Jamaican hospitality and a finest experience provider in the Caribbean.



It further intends to build on its reputation of providing transformative experiences for generations of discerning travellers as they commemorate their 65th anniversary.




In 1954 the property was opened and  expanded with the purchase of the neighbouring Colony Hotel in 1979. There were further construction of five-to-seven-bedroom villas and was re-branded in 2018 as Rose Hall Villas by Half Moon.



Half Moon is a chosen retreat for royalty, presidents and celebrities.Guests can avail unique and award-winning experience here as the property is not just limited to spa and wellness sanctuary.



Other amenities include Fern Tree Spa, an 18-hole championship golf course; equestrian centre; 11 flood-lit tennis courts; and the Sugar Mill.
