Salisbury is now elected as one of the 16 destinations that received a boost to accelerate the tourism sector, by receiving fund and fresh marketing campaign. The city is all set to introduce a new promotional campaign to reconnect with tourists and boost economic condition through tourism initiative. The new promotional initiative for England Originals is additionally supported by the Discover England Funding.
Tourist Information Company has helped in raising fund in order to secure the domestic marketing through recovery campaign. Getting support from the administration now Salisbury focussed marketing activity over the next six months.
Tourism as well as hospitality businesses are planned and designed to feature in the campaign includes Salisbury Cathedral as well as attractions within the Close, Milford Hall Hotel, English Heritage and the Stonehenge Tour, Wiltshire Creative, Stonehenge Campsite, Allium Salisbury and The Red Lion Hotel.
Andrew Stokes, director at VisitEngland, said that several jobs as well as regional economies depend on the travel and tourism sector, and these strategies will help in boosting economy and getting the industry back on feet.
He further added that the support funding will encourage people and also help the industry to earn profit and boost economy. England’s tourism sector and products are slowly recovering and hoping to attract international travellers in future.
Fiona Errington, head of marketing at VisitWiltshire, said this was good news for Salisbury, and added that the funding will support marketing activity that will help promote the city.
