The tourism industry of Saudi Arabia has witnessed huge growth in the recent years, and it is not a surprise at all. After opening its doors to international visitors in 2019 due to its new e-visa programme, tourists have consistently poured in to discover what Saudi Arabia has in store.

In reality, the Kingdom is considering to surpass 70 million tourist visits this year after attracting 62 million last year. According to Fahd Hamidaddin, the Saudi Tourism CEO, visits shot up 130% in the first quarter of this year compared to the last quarter of 2019. Even international superstars like football icon Lionel Messi have turned Saudi Tourism brand ambassadors.

Besides mammoth projects like Qiddiya and Ad Diriyah that are coming up across Saudi Arabia, one of the most flourishing initiatives that are contributing toward Saudi tourism industry’s accomplishment is Saudi Seasons.

This program allows residents and visitors in the same vein to experience what Saudi Arabia’s varied cities have to present, and this project is taking the Kingdom by storm. Prior to the pandemic, in 2019, there were eleven Seasons all through Saudi Arabia, including in Riyadh, Eastern Province, Jeddah and Taif.

The Jeddah Season which recently started on 2 May this year after a pause of two years in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic has already witnessed in excess of 200,000 visitors in the first three days after launch.
