Saxton Speakers recognised as MICE industry leader

Saxton Speakers, Australasia’s leading professional speakers’ bureau, was recognised at the 2019 Meetings & Events Australia (MEA) Awards held on Friday 29 May, taking out the National Speakers, Entertainers and Team Builders Award in the inaugural year for this award category. 

Saxton also took home the Victorian State Award for Saxton Engage, the influencer marketing arm of the business. Saxton Engage, launched in 2019, transforms the way Speakers are engaged. Its aim is to create memorable brand experiences by elevating partnership and influencer marketing strategies to drive visibility, enhance customer loyalty and deliver authentic engagement helping clients turn up their brand.

As the business events industry evolves in the post-COVID-19 environment, innovation will be paramount to success, with Saxton leading the way with industry-leading initiatives.

Saxton has invested heavily in content creation, supporting Speakers to create a suite of content, both short and long form, to allow event organisers to understand more about the experience they would get from a Speaker should they book them. This included facilitating XX hours of video production with Speakers, the development of the Saxton podcast, ‘Let’s Talk’, launched in February 2020, and most recently their Virtual Fireside Chat series produced in partnership with Scene Change.

“As soon as the reality of COVID-19 set in and we realised how catastrophic this was going to be for the event industry we identified the need in our community for content that would engage and support them while keeping us connected during this crisis.” said Jamieson.

Saxton proudly represents over 150 Speakers, Thought Leaders, Influencers and Ambassadors including Ita Buttrose, entrepreneur Justin Dry, surfing star Layne Beachley, multi-ARIA award winner Kate Ceberano, global strategist Holly Ransom, bio-medical engineer Dr Jordan Nguyen  and many more of Australia’s most influential individuals.
