The culture that Kumarakom first propagated as a perfect tourism destination was an idyllic, back-water sitehosting a grand group of luxury hotels.
With the second G20 Sherpas meeting ending in Kumarakomon Sunday, this lakeside village has paved its status of upholding atranquilappeal while highlighting a vigorous hospitality structure. Hence, the meeting seems to have attracted a generous spotlight on the worldwide tourism possibilities of Kumarakom and Kerala on the whole.
In the middle of the endless, rigid discussions happening, special consideration was shown to present the delegates with anexclusive experience of the destination at regular interludes.
P.B. Nooh, the Director of Kerala Tourismsaid that starting from the local food to the village existence and the cultural practice, they make the best effort to display Kerala before the top 20 economies globally along with the other invitees.
From Thiruvathira kali to Kalaripayattu, a number ofethnic programmes were presented and the endeavor produceda lot ofenthusiasm among the guests, saidMr.Nooh.
Each of the representativescomprising the Sherpaswaspresented with miniatures of articles that are distinctive to the tradition of Kerala.
The Responsible Tourism Mission Kerala has made Kumarakom as its center, and has been one of the principal beneficiaries of the just-ended meet in Kumarakom.
