In 2021 ITB Berlin is once again welcoming thousands of journalists and bloggers from around the world. This year’s edition of the global travel trade show is special however – as it is an entirely virtual event. You can be there too when the World’s Leading Travel Trade Show celebrates its virtual debut! After the difficult times of the pandemic the ITB Berlin NOW platform – the leading tourism industry event for travel trends and business – is providing a hub for meeting your ideal business partner in one place. The world’s leading travel trade show is also a virtual venue where tourism professionals can network. In addition, ITB Berlin NOW offers you a wide range of services, making sure no news or networking opportunities will be missed.

Online accreditation service

Journalists can apply here now to obtain accreditation for ITB Berlin NOW 2021. Please note our accreditation guidelines. After your application has been processed and approved, as of mid-February you will receive an email with log-in data for ITB Berlin NOW. You can then update your profile on the platform and take a look around before events take off live between 9 and 12 March.

Note: accreditation can be obtained up to and including 12 March 2021. Access to the platform will be available as of its launch in February 2021, through the official dates of ITB Berlin NOW from 9 to 12 March, and will run until 31 May 2021.

Accreditation grants free access to ITB Berlin NOW including all its digital services, such as interaction with any exhibitor and user at ITB Berlin NOW, participation in the ITB Berlin NOW Convention, attendance at press conferences and exhibitor presentations, and access to the cafés and news section. The codes supplied are non-transferable.

ITB Berlin NOW Convention

The focus of the parallel ITB Berlin NOW Convention is on the industry’s key themes. In 2021 the slogan of the global industry’s largest think tank is ’Rethink, Regenerate, Restart – Tourism for a Better Normal’, and with it the event will be providing important orientation in these challenging times.

New digital media centre: the Press & Media page at ITB Berlin NOW

For media representatives at ITB Berlin NOW 2021 the main place to head is the platform’s Press & Media page. For journalists and bloggers this digital space offers a wide range of information services and materials: press releases, social media news, a newsroom, images and video clips for editorial use, the latest industry news, an opportunity to chat with the ITB press team, and exhibitors’ virtual conferences.

Save the date: press events at ITB Berlin NOW 2021

All registered press events at ITB Berlin NOW will be available in mid-February at www.itb-berlin.com/Press. In the run-up to ITB Berlin NOW press events will be publicised by the various exhibitors, and details updated at regular intervals.

Berlin Travel Festival – A Stream comes true!

The Berlin Travel Festival is a partner event of ITB Berlin. The new virtual platforms ITB Berlin NOW and BTF // Digital complement each other perfectly by separately targeting B2B and B2C audiences. From 9 to 12 March 2021 from around 7 to 9.30 p.m., the Berlin Travel Festival // Digital (BTF // Digital) will be providing an alternative to the travelogues on streaming services and TV. Every evening, the online video magazine will feature a wide range of formats, including essays, interviews, live contributions, video documentaries, travelogues, panels and expert discussion on travel topics. The four episodes will each be devoted to an aspect of travel that concerns society: Safe Trips + Safe Places, Tiny Living + Slow Travel, Freedom + Adventure and Culture Trips.

Access to the BTF // Digital service and streaming programme is via the website of the Berlin Travel Festival only and is free of charge.No registration is required.
