Sharjah International Travel and Tourism Forum endorses sustainability

Specialists and decision-makers, together with Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, the Minister of Economy in the UAE, will discuss the part that technologies play for improving and sustaining the tourism sector at Sharjah International Travel and Tourism Forum (SITTF) this year, which starts today under the theme, ‘Building a Resilient Future for Tourism’ at Expo Center Sharjah.


Organized by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA), this global event, which functions as a stage for developing the travel, tourism and hospitality industry, offers the public the chance to be present in a series of sessions aimed toward creating a sustainable future for the travel and tourism occupation.


The inaugural ceremony had a crucial speech by Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, the Chairman of SCTDA, and Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, the Minister of Economy in the UAE, with subsequent panel discussions assembling industry associates and stakeholders for exploring best practices and groundbreaking resolutions, besides boosting the values of creativity and sustainability in tourism.


Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, the Chairman of SCTDA, said that with this global event, they anticipate valuable discussions, creative understandings and state-of-the-art solutions, besides shedding light on the authenticities of the tourism sector and upcoming inclinations. The role of technologies in ensuring tourism’s sustainability was also emphasized, with the diverse meetings bringing together government officials along with travel and tourism sector experts in this year’s edition of SITTF.
