On Wednesday, the tourism officials declared that three national conferences are headed to Shreveport-Bossier in the coming two years.
The National Tour Association (NTA) Travel Exchange is the first upcoming event is schedules for Nov. 12-15, 2023. NTA membership comprises tour operator companies, independent, group, inbound and outbound along with the suppliers and destinations that are partners of them.
Approximately 500 to 700 people are expected to take part in the event, with an estimated financial impact of $1.7 million.
Stacy Brown, president/CEO of the SBCTB said that organizing this important event provides Shreveport-Bossier an amazing exposure to the travel sector. Stacy also thanked the Louisiana Office of Tourism for sponsoring NTA. As the financial profit is surely exhilarating, Stacy said that they are looking forward to the marketing effort. Shreveport-Bossier will arrange the Society of American Travel Writers besides NTA, which services more than 200 members. The travel writers frequently create t articles related to travel along with photography and broadcast that are uploaded in online and broadcast publications, worldwide. The conference is hoped to attract 40 to 60 attendees from these states.
This week, the final event declared was secured. Shreveport-Bossier’s bid to organize the 74th annual National Square Dance Convention was accepted. On June 2025, it would be hosted and is comprised of dance competitors and enthusiasts.
At the Shreveport Convention Center, the event will be arranged and will attract 6,000 room nights and an anticipated total monetary impact of $4 million.
