Services to and from Norwich Railway Station has to be cancelled this morning on account of a fault in the signaling system of the railway station.
Greater Anglia who is the train operator mentioned that an issue with the signal inside the Lakenham area implied that services are incapable of operating between Norwich and Diss.
Consequently, the 6.45 a.m. Norwich to London Liverpool Street train that was due to arrive in the capital for about 8.42 a.m., has been cancelled.
The 9 a.m. London Liverpool Street to Norwich trail service has also been terminated. Greater Anglia went on to add that disruption is expected until 9 a.m. and Network Rail is currently working to solve the fault. The railway authorities have announced that passengers are likely to be entitled to a compensation for a certain portion of their fare.
