Travellers can now revel in the local Signature Experiences by Khiri Travel Laos. Guests can interact with villagers through half-day or full-day trips to places like Vang Vieng, Luang Prabang, Vang Vieng, and southern Laos. These trips are an opportunity for the travellers to know the Laos culture more closely.
The Luang Prabang trip packs experiences such as boat trip, fresh market shopping, cooking lesson at Ms Noy’s family kitchen.
The Vang Vieng trip includes leisurely down-stream kayaking on the river Nam Song, Lao Hai rice making lesson, and walk through the paddy fields.
In Vientiane, travellers can try homemade ice cream and sticky rice made by a grandmother having a 40 year experience in making it. They can learn to cook Kao Piak noodle soup and papaya salad.
Khiri guest gets a personalised knife after a visit to a knife workshop. Travellers can dig their teeth into local snacks such as prawn crackers, rice whisky, laughing noodles, buffalo eye cookies, and cold beer.
As per Stefan Scheerer, General Manager of Khiri Travel Laos, Khiri’s signature experiences encourage Khiri guests to engage with local Laotian people, food and culture in an educational yet fun way.
Some other highlights of Khiri Signature Experiences are riverside bonfire, fishing on a fisherman’s boat on the Mekong, storytelling, barbecue, Bacci ceremony in a local home, Buddhist chanting and meditation.
