The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) will host a multi-city B2B roadshow across Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad in July 2024. Dubbed the ‘Singapore Tourism Board Roadshow 2024: Holidays Made in Singapore’, the event will showcase 50 exhibitors representing hotels, attractions, airlines, cruise lines, and destination management companies. Notably, seven exhibitors, such as the renowned family-friendly Museum of Ice Cream and Disney Cruise Line, making Singapore its exclusive Southeast Asian homeport for the next five years, are participating for the first time.
India serves as a significant tourism market for Singapore, with direct flights available from 17 cities within a 4 to 6-hour range. Since international travel resumed in 2022, Indian tourists have been increasingly attracted to Singapore’s expanding array of offerings. In 2023, numerous new hotels, attractions, and lifestyle experiences have emerged, providing Indian travel agents and planners with more options for crafting holiday itineraries, MICE programs, and wedding celebrations. STB’s global campaign, “Made In Singapore,” highlights the city as a destination offering unique and unexpected experiences. The 2024 multi-city roadshow, themed “Holidays. Made In Singapore,” aims to empower India’s travel trade community to promote Singapore as a distinctive destination catering to diverse consumer segments.
As part of the B2B roadshow, STB will facilitate two curated business matching platforms between Singaporean wedding suppliers and Indian planners in Ahmedabad and Kolkata, pivotal markets for Indian wedding celebrations. FThese networking events, involving eight venues, hotels, aviation and cruise partners, and DMCs, further bolster STB’s continuous endeavors in India to highlight Singapore’s outstanding array of wedding venues and experiences.
This initiative includes collaborations with acclaimed couturier Rahul Mishra and the creation of a Wedding Planner’s Guide to Singapore.
