The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) would like to show their deepest regards to all Thailand friends who persisted through social media on visiting the country, for those who are already in Thailand, to keep enjoying their holiday schedules in countless beach resort destinations in the South regardless of having to bear the past few days of severe weather conditions.
We are pleased to share that the recent hurricane and severe weather conditions, which had impacted some of the areas in the South, has passed. The condition in the affected areas has become quite normal with the Royal Thai Government as well as other private organizations and the general public putting in place relief efforts to help the affected.
In terms of tourism, the famous beach resort destinations in the Gulf of Thailand and along the Andaman Sea, like Phuket, Phang Nga, Krabi, Chumphon and Surat Thani as well as Ko Samui and Ko Phangan, to name by a few, remain mostly unchanged by the recent severe weather conditions.
Now, as the weather clears up and all transportation has gained normal operations, popular beaches and islands in Southern Thailand continues to draw sun-seekers, and trips to the close by islands and snorkeling excursions are going ahead.
Once again, the TAT would like to express thanks to all friends of Thailand for being sympathetic during the past few days of severe weather issues.
