Social media plays a key role in promoting tourism

international social mediaCandidates participating at the Travel and Tourism Pioneer Forum have recognized that social media can play a major role in introducing varied cultures and requested the investors in tourism to make appropriate utilization of this tool to augment their investments. At the event, marketing specialists decided that the new media has exceeded the conventional media in endorsing tourism by exploring varied cultures. By focusing on social media travel, tourism has experienced a growth of over 50 percent, as explained by the specialists. To increase the efficacy of social media, experts have suggested varied marketing agencies to aim on positive sides of tourism in various target countries.
Riyadh hosted the TTPF with the participation of around 75 exhibitors from 30 different countries. Visitors were given an opportunity to get prizes of worth SR400, 000 which includes tickets, hotel bookings, free English courses and $10,000 for one winner to take part in the World Cup in Russia.
TTPF is an annual event arranged by Al-Awsat Expo under the sponsorship of Prince Dr. Saif Al-Islam Bin Saud Bin Abdullaziz Al Saud. The event mainly aims decision-makers and tourism leaders in Saudi Arabia. It permits the investors to talk with different companies, develop businesses, improve relationship with visitors, exchange knowledge, add to the development of culture, market products and enhance customer experience.

 

The event comprised participants from different agencies of the government, banks, travel companies, car rentals, hotels, resorts, and airlines.
