South Africa warns that corona virus crisis could affect jobs of 400,000 workers in tourism

Published on : Thursday, August 20, 2020

South Africa’s government has cautioned that the corona virus crisis could affect the jobs of 400,000 workers, and that too in the tourism industry alone.

Five months of lockdown restrictions are being eased, but in spite of that, the tourism industry of South Africa could take years to pick up and come back to normal.

This is a global crisis that could destroy the tourism industry and jeopardize employment of those associated with the industry in some way or the other.
