South African Tourism is pleased to announce the selection of Thembisile Sehloho as the new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
Bringing with her more than twenty years of experience in strategic brand and marketing, Thembisile enhances the organization’s marketing prowess.
Thembisile transitions from her role as Marketing Director at Tiger Brands, where she was pivotal in shaping and revitalizing some of South Africa’s most cherished household brands, including AVI’s Bakers and Willards brands. With a solid history of enhancing market share and fostering growth through innovative brand strategies, Thembisile’s expertise will play a key role in advancing South African Tourism’s marketing endeavors.
Starting her career at Unilever in finance, Thembisile then moved to Tiger Brands, later joining AVI before returning to Tiger Brands. Her academic achievements include an MBA in Leadership and Innovation from the University of Edinburgh and a BCom in Accounting from the University of Johannesburg. Additionally, she holds certificates in Strategy Development from WITS and Advance Commercial Acumen from GIBS.

“As Thembisile assumes her new role as CMO, I am confident that her strategic vision, leadership skills, and profound brand and marketing knowledge will drive our marketing initiatives to new heights,” said Nombulelo Guliwe, Chief Executive Officer of South African Tourism.
