This report was published by Visit Tucson, seeing resurrection in tourism and its related industry following some less than steller years after the loss.

Here the study shows that the rate of hotel occupancy has been increased up to 13 percent in 2017 over 2016. This figure depicts the high rise of travel and tourism business, but the overall job growth in South Arizona is still lagging behind.

The healthy tourism industry in South Arizona will filter down to other industries as well.

Visit Tucson has invested heavily in tourism marketing in cold weather locations like Minneapolis, Chicago, and New York.
