 Southern California brush fire burns more than  3,000 acres, thousands evacuated

A wildfire is burning out of control north of Los Angeles, forcing thousands of residents to evacuate their homes,

 

The fire officials mentioned that a wildfire is burning out of control of Los Angeles which forced thousands of residents to evacuate their homes.

 

 

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department the Tick fire near Santa Clarita broke out on Thursday and within a few hours burnt about 3,950 acres.

 

 

By late Thursday it was contained by 5% and destroyed several structures. The casue of the fire was unknown and in the Agua Dulce area where the Tick Fire is burning was a part of the ongoing international power outages.

 

Lois Bruce a local spokesperson said that the area was de-energised at about 8:50 am (local time) and blaze started at approximately 1:45pm.

 

 

At about 15 mph the wind speeds in the area are sustained with gusts of roughly 30 mph according to the National Weather Service.

 

In the northern area of Los Angeles County and several shelters were opened and mandatory evacuations were ordered.

 

In Santa Clarita large plume of dark smoke was spotted near the property where an animal protection nonprofit was scrambling to evacuate animals from their farms.

 

The Kincade Fire in Northern California scorched 10,000 acres and more than 550 homes were places under evacuation orders.

 

 

Due to the high winds the blaze was fueled in parts that had already prompted California electric utilities to cut power to thousands of residents.
