Southern Ocean Chamber CEO to speak at Destination International’s “Imagine 2018”

The Southern Ocean Chamber announced that their CEO Lori Pepenella, CDME will be presenting at Destination International’s “Imagine 2018.”

 
Pepenella will be speaking at this annual convention held in Anaheim, California on the innovative tourism practices and economic development programs that have been established. She will be speaking to leading tourism and marketing professionals from across the globe.

 
Destination International is the world’s largest and most reliable resource for destination marketing. It’s a global trade association representing over 5000 professionals and nearly 600 destination organizations, convention bureaus and tourism boards.

 
The annual convention in California brings over 1500 professionals to inform, connect, inspire and educate for driving destination economic impact, job creation, community sustainability and quality of life through travel.

Pepenella was selected to speak on a topic that has helped the Long Beach Island Region thrive.

 
The 45 minute presentation will be titled “Cultivating Culture within your Destination” which will showcase the collaboration that has helped redefine beach culture in Jersey Shore.

 
Pepenella was recently awarded the Freeholder Joseph Vicari Ocean County Tourism Achievement Award for her long time efforts in advancing tourism within the county and received the NJ Tourism Excellence Award in Trenton on May 10 for the development of the Southern Ocean Made Brew Trail.
