The 143 passengers who were aboard a Southwest Airlines flight on Monday are alright after the plane had to make an emergency landing in Sacramento.
The Federal Aviation Administration remarked that flight 791 “landed without incident” at the Sacramento International Airport around 5:45 p.m.
Southwest said a tire blew shortly after departing from Denver, Colorado. The tire issue was at the main landing gear of the aircraft.
Southwest said in a statement, Each component of the landing gear is designed with redundant, multiple tires, and our Pilots are trained to deal with these types of landings. The aircraft will be removed from our schedule to undergo a review.
Southwest also said that the flight for passengers will resume through Southwest Flight 1122 to San Diego. There were 143 passengers and five crew members on board at the time.
